Here are the nominees for the top receiver in Pasco County entering the season. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Bryce Backus, So., Mitchell: Expected to improve after finishing with 107 yards and a touchdown last season. 

Jared Cason, Sr., Zephyrhills: Explosive player who should be a factor in the passing game. 

Donovan Faria, Sr., Land O’ Lakes: A top target for whoever emerges as the Gators’ quarterback. 

AJ McFarlane, Sr., Hudson: Ended up with 853 yards and 12 touchdowns receiving last season. 

Brady Miller, Sr., Mitchell: Has a chance to put up big numbers for the Mustangs this season. 

Noa Paselio, Sr., Gulf: Big play target averaged more than 20 yards per reception last season and had 124 yards and two scores in the spring.  

Shaan Patel, Jr., Cypress Creek: Finished with 804 yards and six touchdowns last season. 

DJ Pickett, Jr., Zephyrhills: Led the Bulldogs with 886 yards and 12 touchdowns receiving last season. 

Jayden Ramos, Sr., Zephyrhills Christian: Ended up with a team-leading 213 yards and a touchdown receiving last season. 

Bryce Randolph, Jr., Wiregrass Ranch: Had a breakout performance in the spring game with more than 100 yards receiving and two touchdowns. 

Isaiah Riggins, Sr., Wiregrass Ranch: Recorded 11 receptions for 140 yards and a touchdown last season. 

Chris Roman, Sr., Gulf: Had 38 catches for 507 yards and six touchdowns last season.  

Shawn Smith, Sr, Cypress Creek: Finished with 301 yards and three touchdowns last season.
