Football: Pasco County Offensive Player of the Week — Week 1, Aug. 25, 2023

Here are the nominees for the Pasco County offensive player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Zach Merriman, Sr., Sunlake: Finished with 113 yards (79 passing, 24 rushing, 10 receiving) and two touchdowns (one passing, one receiving) in a win over Wesley Chapel. 

Jamarion Miller, Sr., Fivay: Rushed for 237 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries in a loss to Cypress Creek.

Antonio Muniz, Jr., Gulf: Ran for 219 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries, added another 54 yards on six receptions and threw for another score in a win over Gulf.

Jack Niemann, Sr., Cypress Creek: Threw for 320 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Fivay.

Corey Simms, So., Mitchell: Racked up a combined 138 yards (96 rushing, 42 receiving) and had three touchdowns (two rushing, one receiving) in a loss to Gulf.

Logan Shawell, Sr., Hudson: Rushed for 143 yards on 14 carries in a win over Hernando.

Damian Spencer, Sr., Anclote: Ran for 150 yards and scored four touchdowns on six carries on offense and had a forced fumble and recovery for a touchdown on defense in a win over Branson.

Parker Stirnkorb, Sr., Zephyrhills Christian: Threw for 247 yards and four touchdowns in a win over Tradition Prep.
