Football: Pinellas County Defensive Player of the Week — Week 2, Sept. 1, 2023

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Noel Brown, Clearwater: Registered seven tackles and two sacks in a win over Northeast. 

Chris Kalu, Largo: Finished with nine tackles and a sack in a loss to Lakeland. 

Anthony Cavallaro, Indian Rocks Christian: Recorded nine, three sacks and a forced fumble in a win over Seffner Christian.

Brogan Coleman, Osceola: Finished with 14 tackles in a win over Dunedin.  

Trinzel Lewis, Calvary Christian: Recorded eight tackles and a fumble recovery and scored a safety in a win over Tallahassee St. John Paul II.

Kaleb Mathis, Lakewood: Ended up with four tackles and returned an interception 90 yards for a touchdown in a loss to Miami Palmetto.

Tank Thomas, Pinellas Park: Finished with 12 tackles and three sacks in a win over Boca Ciega.
