Here are the nominees for the Hernando County football player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

John Capel III, Sr., Hernando:  Racked up 231 yards (157 rushing, 74 receiving) and two touchdowns (one rushing, one receiving) in a win over Pasco. 

Christian Cromer, Sr., Nature Coast: Ran for 105 and two touchdowns in a loss to Hudson. 

Braden Joyner, Sr., Central: Accounted for 136 yards (87 passing, 49 rushing) and threw for three touchdowns on offense and returned two picks for scores on defense in a win over Anclote. 

Dalton Williams, Jr., Springstead: Recorded eight tackles and had two interceptions and a fumble recovery in a win over Sunlake.
