Here are the nominees for the Hernando County football player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Emaurien Davis, Jr., Central: Had two catches for 34 yards and a touchdown on offense and recorded five tackles and a sack on defense in a loss to Wesley Chapel.

Connor Riggins, Sr., Nature Coast: Scored a rushing touchdown on offense and returned an interception for another score on defense in a win over Sunlake.

Leandre Wright, Sr., Hernando: Finished with two catches for 55 yards and a touchdown on offense and recorded seven tackles on defense in a loss to Lecanto.
