The Florida High School Athletic Association released its initial football rankings this season in the Metro and Suburban Divisions that will determine playoff seedings and some postseason berths. The district winners in each region in Classes 2-4 in Metro and Suburban automatically qualify for the playoffs. The next four postseason berths in each region of those classes are determined strictly by the rankings. In Class 1 of Metro and Suburban, there are two district champions and two at-large berths. Here is the list of the top eight in regions for classes 2-4 in Metro and Suburban that includes area teams and the top four in class 1 of the same divisions. Local ranked teams are in bold.
