Volleyball: Pinellas County Player of the Week — Oct. 2-7, 2023

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County volleyball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Sydney Applefield, Sr., St. Petersburg: Named to the all-tournament team at the Shorecrest Invitational after leading the Green Devils to a runnerup finish. 

Taylor Bedinghaus, Sr., Clearwater Central Catholic: Finished with 16 digs and 12 kills in a win over McMichael (NC) at Venice’s Battle of the Beach. 

Alyssa Brady, Sr., Pinellas Park: Ended up with eight kills and seven digs in a win over Largo at the Shorecrest Invitational.

Kate Craig, Sr., Shorecrest: Named to the all-tournament team at the Shorecrest Invitationa after leading the Chargers to a third place finish.  

Sydney Davis, Sr., St. Petersburg: Selected  to the all-tournament team at the Shorecrest Invitational after leading the Green Devils to a runnerup finish. 

Maria Happ, Sr., Shorecrest: Named to the all-tournament team at the Shorecrest Invitational after leading the host Chargers to a third place finish. 

Hunter Moore, Sr., Palm Harbor University: Recorded a combined 30 kills and 15 digs in five matches, all wins. 

Kristina Rhoden, Sr., East Lake: Finished with 21 kills and 13 digs in a win over St. Petersburg for the PCAC title. 

Ella Storie, Jr., Keswick Christian: Ended up with 10 kills and four digs in a win over Indian Rocks Christian.
