Football: Tampa Bay Area Special Teams Player of the Week — Week 8, Oct. 13, 2023

Here are the nominees for the Tampa Bay area special teams player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Monday. 

Fred Adams, Sr., Wiregrass Ranch: Scored a touchdown on a punt return in a win over Sunlake. 

Luis Carranza, Sr., St. Petersburg: Connected on both of his extra points, made a 40-yard field goal and had a 77-yard punt in a win over Pinellas Park. 

Maddox Cowart, Sr., Plant: Averaged 54.5 yards per punt, including one inside the 20, in a win over Plant City. 

Nico D’Angio, Jr., Osceola: Hit both of his field goals, including a 36-yarder, in a win over Countryside. 

Ke’von Inman, So., Northeast: Scored on an 86-yard kickoff return in a win over Hollins.  

Roe Miller, So., Zephyrhills: Returned a kickoff 86 yards for a touchdown in a win over Pasco. 

Gavin Richardson, Jr., Northside Christian: Returned a punt for a touchdown in a win over American Collegiate. 

Brad Paxton, Sr., Berkeley Prep: Hit all five of his extra points and had four kickoffs that went for touchbacks in a win over Dunedin. 

Jakob Tramel, Fr., Tampa Bay Tech: Made both of his extra points and hit a game winning 40-yard field goal against Wharton. 

Bari Williams, Jr., Largo: Scored on a 50-yard punt return in a win over Seminole.  

Drew Woodaz, Sr., Jesuit: Returned a blocked punt for a touchdown in a win over Gaither.
