Football: Pinellas County Defensive Player of the Week — Week 9, Oct. 23, 2023

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County defensive player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Malachi Bradbury, Jr., St. Petersburg Catholic: Ended up with four tackles and a sack in a win over Bishop McLaughlin. 

Parker Byers, Sr., Clearwater: Recorded 12 tackles and had a sack and an interception in a win over East Lake.

Christoper Cresser, So., Clearwater Academy: Finished with eight tackles and returned an interception and a fumble for a touchdown in a win over Lakeland. 

Kevin Davis, Jr., Boca Ciega: Recorded his seventh interception of the season and returned it for a touchdown in a win over Hollins. 

Gunner Fodor, Sr., Palm Harbor University: Racked up 10 tackles in a win over Seminole. 

Kainoa Martin, So., Calvary Christian: Recorded four tackles and a sack in a win over Lakeland Christian. 

Davion Massey, Sr., Gibbs: Ended up with seven tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown in a loss to Lakewood Ranch. 

Ladamein Stinson, So., St. Petersburg: Finished with six tackles, a forced fumble and returned a fumble for a touchdown in a win over Countryside. 

Darin Townsend, So., Largo: Had five tackles and returned a fumble for a touchdown in a win over Lakewood. 

Walter Wolfe, Jr., Osceola: Ended up with three tackles, a sack and a fumble recovery in a win over DeSoto County.
