Football: Pinellas County Defensive Player of the Week — Week 10, Oct. 27, 2023

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County defensive player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Anthony Cavallaro, Fr., Indian Rocks Christian: Recorded five tackles and two sacks in a win over LaBelle. 

Ben Cubito, Jr., St. Petersburg: Had two tackles, a fumble recovery and returned an interception for a touchdown in a win over Hollins. 

Martavius Durden, Sr., Gibbs: Recorded eight tackles and recovered a fumble in a win over Boca Ciega. 

Gunner Fodor, Sr., Palm Harbor University: Ended up with 13 tackles and two sacks in a win over East Lake. 

Jackson Hollis, Jr., Clearwater Central Catholic: Finished with three tackles and returned an interception in a win over Seffner Christian. 

Cody Hubbard, Sr., Northside Christian: Had five tackles and a sack in a loss to Zephyrhills Christian. 

Chris Kalu, Sr., Largo: Finished with 11 tackles and three sacks in a win over Osceola. 

Brock Smith, Jr., Calvary Christian: Returned an interception for a touchdown in a win over Dunedin. 

Jordan Thomas, Jr., Tarpon Springs: Recorded seven tackles and an interception in a win over North Port. 

Sir Jacob Thompson, Sr., Northeast: Finished with 15 tackles, a sack, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery in a win over Pinellas Park.
