Football: Tampa Bay area offensive player of the week — Week 13, Nov. 17, 2023

Here are the nominees for the Tampa Bay area offensive player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Waltez Clark, Jr., Plant: Ran for 132 yards on 17 carries and scored three touchdowns on the ground, including the game-winner in overtime in a 4M region semifinal victory over Orlando Dr. Phillips. 

Jacob Drackett, Sr., Calvary Christian: Threw for four touchdowns and 265 yards, giving him 7,364 for his high school career to become the all-time leading passer in Pinellas County in a Class 2M region semifinal win over Clearwater. 

Xzavier Jackson, Jr., Tampa Bay Tech: Threw for 230 yards and two touchdowns in a 3M region semifinal victory over Armwood. 

Luke Knight, Sr., Wiregrass Ranch: Ended up with 270 yards passing and two touchdowns and ran for another score in a Class 4S region semifinal loss to Lake Minneola. 

Elija Mason, So., Gaither: Ran for 145 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries in a Class 3M region semifinal win over Gaither. 

Jershaun Newton, Jr., Clearwater Central Catholic: Went 8-of-10 for 115 yards and two touchdowns and ran 49 yards for another score in a 1M region semifinal win over Indian Rocks Christian. 

Greg Smith III, Sr., Sumner: Accounted for 292 yards (234 passing, 58 rushing) and threw for five touchdowns in a Class 4A region semifinal win over Durant.

Damari Styles, Jr., Durant: Finished with 11 catches for 118 yards and two touchdowns in a loss to Sumner.  

Willy Suarez, Sr., Jesuit: Racked up 171 yards (150 receiving, 21 rushing) and four touchdowns (three receiving, one rushing) in a Class 3M region semifinal win over Northeast. 

Joseph Troupe, Jr., Berkeley Prep: Led the Buccaneers rushing attack in a Class 2M region semifinal win over Tampa Catholic.
