Boys basketball: Pinellas County player of the week — Nov. 20-25

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County boys basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Josh Castellani, Sr., Hollins: Ended up with 18 points and 13 rebounds in a win over River Ridge.

Brody Church, So., East Lake: Scored a team-high 25 points in a win over Lakeside Christian at the Eagles’ Battle at the Lake tournament. 

Emir Gainer, So., St. Petersburg: Averaged 31 points in two games at Calvary Christian’s Buckshot O’Brien Classic. 

Jordan Naylor, Sr., Boca Ciega: Finished with 24 points and nine rebounds in leading the Pirates to a season-opening win over Wesley Chapel at Seminole’s John Stephany Shootout. 

Nicho Simes, Sr., Clearwater: Recorded 16 points, four rebounds and two assists in a win over Jacksonville Wolfson at the Hoop Feast. 

Colin Way, Sr., Seminole: Averaged 20 points in two games at the Warhawks’ John Stephany Shootout.  

Austin Wooley, Sr., Countryside: Played a big role in helping the Cougars go 2-0 at Seminole’s John Stephany Shootout.
