Here are the nominees for the Hernando County boys basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Jean Garcia, Sr., Weeki Wachee: Led the Hornets with a team-high 22 points and eight steals in a win over River Ridge. 

Austin Nicholson, Sr., Springstead: Recorded a double-double (20 points, 12 rebounds) in a win over Crystal River. 

Jeroen Watson, Sr., Central: Had 20 points, seven rebounds and six blocks in a win over Land O’ Lakes. 

Leandre Wright, Sr., Hernando: Finished with 11 rebounds and eight points in a win over Nature Coast.
