Here are the nominees for the Hernando County girls basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

Tyrah Gary, Jr., Hernando: Recorded 14 points in a win over Hernando Christian. 

Quintara Norwood, Sr., Nature Coast: Scored a team-high 17 points in a win over Hernando. 

Joelys Rodriguez, Fr., Weeki Wachee: Ended up with 14 points, six assists and six steals in a win over South Sumter.  

Samantha Suarez, Sr., Springstead: Finished with 10 steals and nine points in a win over Crystal River.
