Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County girls basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

Grace Gavin, Sr., Academy of the Holy Names: Became the 16th player in school history to surpass the 1,000-point plateau and was named tournament MVP after leading her team to the title at the Jaguar Invitational. 

Zamyria King, So., Winthrop College Prep: Ended up with 20 points and nine rebounds to help the Spartans win their second straight game.  

Natalia Long, Fr., Tampa Prep: Recorded 17 points in a win over Land O’ Lakes. 

Simarkae McLean, Sr., Patel: Finished with 21 points, five rebounds and five steals in a win over Lakeland Victory Christian.
