Jesuit’s 1984 state champion team honored today
To mark the 40th anniversary of Jesuit’s 1984 boys basketball state championship team, the school will recognize the players during a ceremony today at 1:30 p.m. before the Tigers’ home game against Sickles tips off at 2.
Jesuit athletic director Terry Rupp was the leader of the team. In the title game, Rupp finished with 31 points and 14 rebounds.
Champions League semifinals in boys and girls soccer set for today
The bay area version of the Champions League, based on the popular tournament for professional club teams in Europe, will hold semifinal matches today for boys soccer at Jesuit and girls soccer at Palm Harbor University.
The winners will then head to St. Petersburg tonight for the finals at Al Lang Stadium. Take a look at the semifinal previews for boys soccer and girls soccer.
