Boys basketball: Pinellas County player of the week — Jan. 8-12, 2024

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County boys basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Tyler Becker, Sr., East Lake: Finished with a career-high 26 points and had seven rebounds and seven assists in a win over Mitchell. 

Emir Gainer, So., St. Petersburg: Scored the game-winner in the final seconds to beat Clearwater. 

Danielius Gelumbauskas, Sr., Admiral Farragut: Led the Blue Jackets by averaging 26 points and eight rebounds per game in wins over Patel and Keswick Christian. 

Malachi Miller, Sr., Hollins: Led the Royals with 26 points, 11 rebounds and six assists in a win over Boca Ciega. 

Mathis Roberts, Jr., Gibbs: Averaged 12.5 points and five rebounds in wins over Pinellas Park and Calvary Christian. 

Sherwin Simmons, Jr., Lakeside Christian: Finished with 13 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in a win over Academy at the Lakes. 

Colin Way, Sr., Seminole: Scored a team-high 18 points in a win over Countryside.
