Girls basketball: Pinellas County player of the week — Jan. 15-20, 2024

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County girls basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Monday. 

Zy’nasia Alhuzaifi, Jr., Canterbury: Averaged a double-double (15.5 rebounds, 13 points per game) in wins over Academy at the Lakes and Northside Christian. 

Robyn Cantwell, Jr., Keswick Christian: Ended up with 16 points, six rebounds and five assists in a win over Berkeley Prep.

Mikayla Paschal, Jr., Largo: Finished with a double-double (32 points, 12 rebounds) in a win over Pinellas Park.  

Laney Pearson, Sr., Seminole: Scored a career-high 33 points in a loss to IMG Blue. 

Pink Sturdivant, Jr., Clearwater: Recorded a double-double (14 points, 11 rebounds) in a win over East Lake. 

Ally Wright, So., Countryside: Averaged 28.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game in wins over Boca Ciega, St. Petersburg and Shorecrest.
