Here are the nominees for the Hernando County boys basketball player of the week poll. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Jean Garcia, Sr., Weeki Wachee: Ended up with 23 points and nine rebounds in a Class 4A, District 9 quarterfinal win over Crystal River. 

Braden Joyner, Sr., Central: Helped lead the Bears to wins over Weeki Wachee and Hernando for the Class 4A, District 9 title. 

Austin Nicholson, Sr., Springstead: Recorded a double-double (23 points, 13 rebounds) in a Class 6A, District 4 quarterfinal win over Mitchell. 

Josiah Wright, Sr., Hernando: Finished with 13 points and four rebounds in a Class 4A, District 9 semifinal win over Nature Coast.
