Girls basketball: Tampa Bay player of the week — Feb. 12-17, 2024

Here are the nominees for the Tampa Bay area girls basketball player of the week poll. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Tamara Bryant, Sr., Wharton: Recorded a double-double (17 rebounds, 14 points) in a Class 6A region quarterfinal win over Hillsborough. 

Melanie Francis, Sr., Springstead: Finished her high school career with a double-double (17 rebounds, 10 points) in a Class 6A region quarterfinal overtime loss to top seed Ponte Vedra. 

Zacoya Grant, Sr., Gibbs: Scored a team-high 18 points in a Class 4A region quarterfinal win over Fort Myers Gateway. 

Alahani Lovett, Jr., Lakewood: Finished with a team-high 29 points in a Class 4A region quarterfinal win over Lemon Bay. 

Noelle Mengel, Jr., Bloomingdale: Scored a team-high 24 points in a Class 6A region quarterfinal win over Countryside. 

Hailey Scott, Jr., Academy of the Holy Names: Finished with 14 points, including four 3-pointers, in a Class 4A region quarterfinal win over Weeki Wachee. 

Pink Sturdivant, Jr., Clearwater: Led the Tornadoes with 23 points, six steals and five assists in a Class 5A region quarterfinal win over Naples. 

Adriana Vien, Jr., River Ridge: Had eight points, six rebounds and four assists in a Class 5A region quarterfinal win over Belleview.
