What to watch tonight

Tampa Prep (8-5) at Tampa Catholic (8-4), 6

This is the second meeting between the rivals. The Crusaders won the first one 9-2. The Terrapins are trying to get back on track after losing three of their four games. Tampa Catholic, meanwhile, is finding a way to win close games, beating Steinbrenner 5-4 in eight innings and Carrollwood Day 6-4 last week.   

Seminole (11-1) at Dunedin (8-3), 6:30

A matchup between teams ranked in the top three of their respective classifications by MaxPreps (the Warhawks are No. 2 in 5A and the Falcons are No. 3 in 4A). The Warhawks are looking to rebound after their loss to St. Petersburg Catholic last week snapped their 11-game win streak to start the season. The host Falcons have won three straight games.  

East Lake (9-1) vs. Wesley Chapel (9-2), 7 (at Weeki Wachee/Farm Bureau Classic)

The opening round of the Farm Bureau Classic kicks off with a premier pitching matchup. The Eagles have allowed just 11 runs all season while the Wildcats have given up 16. 

Tarpon Springs (8-4) at Countryside (8-4), 7

First-year Spongers coach Seth McClung, a former pitcher with the Rays, has already guided his team to eight wins, two more than they had all of last season. The host Cougars have won three of their last four games, the lone loss coming by a run against Northeast in that span. 

Bishop McLaughlin (8-4) at Nature Coast (8-2), 7 (Farm Bureau Classic)

The Hurricanes had won four straight games before last week’s loss to IMG Gold. The Sharks are hoping to get their offense going again after being shutout against Cypress Creek in their last game.
