Cypress Creek (10-5) at Wesley Chapel (9-4), 7
A rematch from a pitcher’s duel that the Wildcats won 1-0 last month. The Coyotes have plenty of confidence after winning five of their last six games. Wesley Chapel is trying to regroup after losing two straight and four of their last five games.
East Lake (13-1) at Calvary Christian (12-1), 7
A big-time showdown in Pinellas County between teams each ranked second in their class and among the top 20 overall in the state by MaxPreps. The Eagles, ranked No. 2 in 6A and No. 17 in the state, enter on a five-game win streak. The host Warriors, ranked No. 2 in 3A, No. 7 in the state and No. 17 nationally, also have won five straight games.
Sickles (12-3) at Jefferson (11-5), 7
The defending 6A state champion Gryphons square off against the defending 4A state semifinalist Dragons in a premier matchup. Sickles has won its last five games by a combined 44-6. Jefferson, meanwhile, is trying to rebound after losing two straight and three of their last four games.
Durant (11-3) at Newsome (12-3), 7
The Cougars are coming off a one-run loss to Gaither that snapped their four-game win streak. After starting 4-3, the host Wolves have put it together, winning eight straight games.
Osceola (9-4) at Northeast (12-2), 7:30
This is a rematch from a game the Warriors won the first week of the season. Since then, the host Vikings have won 11 of their last 12 games, the lone loss coming by a run against Calvary Christian during that span.
