Here are the nominees for the Hernando County softball player of the week poll. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Ava Braswell, Sr., Hernando: Threw a pair of shutouts, allowing a combined six hits while striking out 20 in wins over Lecanto and Mitchell.

Haylee Brown, Fr., Springstead: Went 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in a win over Cypress Creek. 

Kamryn Ross, Fr., Nature Coast: Allowed two runs (one earned) and struck out seven in a win over Central.

Jayden Russo, Jr., Weeki Wachee: Ended up going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Hernando Christian.
