Here are the nominees for the Pascoo County softball pitcher of the week poll. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Alana Claros, So., Wesley Chapel: Went five innings, allowing two earned runs on eight hits while striking out two in a win over River Ridge for the Class 5A, District 7 title. 

Mia Fields, Sr., Sunlake: Finished with a four-hitter, allowing two runs (one earned) while striking out six in a Class 6A, District 5 quarterfinal win over Sickles. 

Shannon Kendall, Sr., Academy at the Lakes: Threw a four-hitter, allowing four earned runs (two earned) while striking out 15 in a win over Seven Rivers Christian for the Class 2A, District 6 title. 

Taryn Newton, Jr., Mitchell: Hurled a two-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts in a win over Land O’ Lakes in the Class 6A, District 5 semifinals.
