The Sharks, ranked eighth in the class by MaxPreps, beat Weeki Wachee and Hernando by a combined 16-1 to take home the 4A-6 district title. The Scorpions are trying to bounce back after a loss to Merritt Island snapped their four-game win streak.

No. 6 Hernando (17-9) at No. 3 Orlando Bishop Moore (17-9), 7

Since starting the season 6-6, the Leopards have won 11 of their last 14 games. The Hornets also have some momentum with five straight wins.

Region 3
No. 8 Robinson (12-13) at No. 1 Lakeland McKeel Academy, 7

Despite being shut out by King in the 4A-10 district semifinals, the Knights were to secure a playoff spot with an at-large bid. Though they have the top seed, the Wildcats are to regain some consistency after going 2-3 in their last five games.

No. 7 Tarpon Springs (16-10) at No. 2 Dunedin (17-6), 7

Former Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Seth McClung has had a successful debut with the Spongers, guiding them to their first winning season and first playoff berth since 2012. To advance, Tarpon Springs has to get past Dunedin, which beat the Spongers 10-0 last week for their fourth straight 4A-11 district title.

No. 6 Mulberry (16-9) at No. 3 Jefferson (18-8), 7

The defending state semifinalist Dragons overcame a 3-6 slump last month to win their last five games, including victories over Chamberlain and King for the 4A-10 district title. The Panthers are looking to rebound after a loss to Hardee snapped their three-game win streak.

Class 3A

Region 2
No. 8 Tampa Prep (13-13) at No. 1 Calvary Christian (23-4), 7

This rematch features the defending state champion Warriors, who won last month’s meeting 10-3. Following a three-game losing streak in April, the Warriors has gone on to win five straight games.

No. 5 Fort Meade (18-9) at No. 4 Berkeley Prep (14-11), 7

After starting the season 1-9, the Buccaneers have turned things around in a big way, winning 13 of their last 15 games. The Miners aim to regroup after watching Avon Park score three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning for a 4-3 victory in the 3A-7 district final.

No. 7 Clearwater Central Catholic (12-13) at No. 2 Fort Myers Bishop Verot (21-5), 7

The Marauders hope to bounce back after going 1-6 in their last seven games. That could be tough against the Vikings, who have won six straight games and are ranked sixth in the class by MaxPreps.

No. 6 Avon Park (17-8) at No. 3 Tampa Catholic (18-8), 7

The host Crusaders posted consecutive shutouts over Brooks DeBartolo and Berkeley Prep to take home the 3A-5 district title. The Red Devils won the 3A-7 title by scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh for a 4-3 victory over Fort Meade.

Region 3
No. 1 Fort Myers Evangelical Christian (21-6) at No. 8 Shorecrest (18-8), 7
