Here are the nominees for the boys lacrosse player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

Peyton Kassay, Jr., Alonso: Finished with a combined eight goals in two games to surpass the 100 goal plateau in his career. 

Destin Orozco, Jr., Northeast: Made 12 saves and allowed three goals in a win over St. Petersburg. 

Nick Rhoades, Sr., Newsome: Recorded a combined 20 faceoff wins, 15 ground balls and five goals in wins over Bloomingdale, Bartow and Tampa Catholic. 

Shale Saeger, So., Steinbrenner: Won 17 faceoffs and had 12 ground balls in a win over Mitchell.

Jason Sherman, Fr., Pasco: Ended up with four goals and three assists in a win over Discovery. 

Kyle Simonsen, Jr., East Lake: Finished with a combined eight goals, eight ground balls and three assists in wins over St. Petersburg and Palm Harbor University.
