Here are the nominees for the Hernando County softball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday.

2B/SS Carlee Anselmo, So., Nature Coast: Ended up going 2-for-3 with a homer, two runs scored and an RBI in a win over Lecanto in the Class 4A, District 9 semifinals. 

P/1B Ava Braswell, So., Hernando: Threw a five-hitter, allowing one unearned run while striking out six in  win over South Sumter in the Class 3A, District 6. 

SS/OF Leeanna Freeman, Jr., Springstead: Went a combined 5-for-7 with two doubles, five runs scored and three RBIs in wins over Sunlake and Lecanto.
