Hillsborough County softball player of the week poll — May 11-12

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County softball player of the week from the region quarterfinals. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

P Natalie Cable, Fr., Bloomingdale: Threw a two-hitter, allowing one earned run while striking out 19 in a win over Wiregrass Ranch. 

OF/2B/3B Kaylee Haas, Fr., East Bay: Had a double, a homer, two RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Braden River.

P Shannon Kendall, So., Seffner Christian: Threw a four-hitter, allowing two unearned runs while striking out eight on the mound and had two homers, a double, three runs scored and two RBIs at the plate in a win over Bradenton Christian

P Avery Powers, Fr., Berkeley Prep: Tossed a four-hitter, allowing one earned run while striking out 14 in a 5-1 victory over Lakeland McKeel Academy.  

SS Karley Shelton, So., Newsome: Went 1-for-2 and drove in two of the Wolves’ three runs in a win over Durant. 

1B/OF Maisi Sigler, So., Academy of the Holy Names: Led the Jaguars by going 3-for-4 with two doubles and four RBIs, including the tying and go-ahead runs in the seventh inning to beat Fort Myers Bishop Verot 6-5.
