Outlook

Calvary Christian, which went 5-5 last season, was placed in a new district (Class 2-7), which includes defending state finalist Berkeley Prep and defending region finalist Clearwater. The Warriors have the depth – and talent – to compete with those teams. Jacob Drackett, who threw for 1,802 yards and 16 touchdowns, returns at quarterback. He has plenty of receivers, including Josh Robinson (597 yards, seven touchdowns), Caleb Goodloe (197 yards, one touchdown) and Toby Wroe (159 yards, one touchdown). The running game will be more by committee with St. Petersburg Catholic transfer Sean Cuono and Zander Altieri sharing the load. The offensive line has experience with Sakae Hall, Joe Ionata, George Kalantzis and Luke Smith all returning. Defensively the leaders are Jalyn Turner (97 tackles, 1 ½ sacks) and Callahan Blair (77 tackles, 4 ½ sacks).
