Outlook

The Terriers went 10-3 last season and made the region final. Their three losses came against Jesuit (twice) and Tampa Bay Tech, both of which made the state final in their respective classification last year (the Tigers won it all). Hillsborough lost more than 20 players who graduated. But the Terriers were able to retool. Shaun Joshi, who stepped in when Caleb Pierce was hurt last season, takes over as the full time starter at quarterback. Joshi’s top targets include Michael Coley Jr., Isaiah Isadore and Moses White. The running game lost some depth with three of the top rushers from last season graduating. The top returner is Jacquez Gibson, who rushed for 448 yards and seven touchdowns last season. The offensive line will be led by Cyar Debose, Manav Domadia and Tyler Pruitt. The defensive got a boost with the addition of DJ Jones, a top level recruit who transferred from Sumner. Others to watch on that side of the ball include linebackers Thomas Hickman and Ekyri Williams and defensive backs Jay Cummings and Khai Ponder.
