Season stats: 196 yards rushing, four touchdowns
The lowdown: In the opener, Gwinn (photo above courtesy of Andrea Clarke) showed what he could do with a more prominent role, rushing for 168 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries in a win over River Ridge. Fans took notice. Gwinn had 27 percent of the votes (353) in the Pasco County offensive player of the week poll to beat out Cypress Creek’s Malachi Askin, who had 24 percent (319 votes).
