Here are the nominees for the Pasco County girls basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Celeste Corona, Sr., Pasco: Finished with a team-high nine points in a win over Tampa SLAM to lead the Pirates to their first victory on the court this season (the other came via forfeit). 

Jennell Fontes, Sr., Hudson: Scored a team-high 21 points in a win over Central. 

Amelia Gatson, So., Anclote: Averaged 12 points in wins over Hernando, Fivay and Central. 

Jakayla Lawson, Sr., Land O’ Lakes: Recorded 16 points and eight steals in a win over Pasco. 

Aleia Wood, Sr., Sunlake: Averaged 13 rebounds and eight points in wins over Fivay, Gulf and Carrollwood Day.
