Girls basketball: Tampa Bay area player of the week — Feb. 14-17

Here are the nominees for the Tampa Bay area girls basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Desiree Collins, Sr., River Ridge: Led the Royal Knights with 37 points, including seven 3-pointers, in a win over Orlando Jones in the Class 5A region semifinals. 

Ashlyn Couzens, Sr., Seffner Christian: Grabbed 15 rebounds and had five points in a win over Palm Beach Gardens Benjamin in the Class 3A region semifinals. 

Aissa Diallo, Sr., Bloomingdale: Finished with 12 points and eight rebounds in a win over Fort Myers in the Class 6A region semifinals. 

Jakayla Lawson, Sr., Land O’ Lakes: Recorded 10 points, four steals and three rebounds in a win over Gainesville in the Class 6A region semifinals. 

Lucy Morey, Jr., Academy of the Holy Names: Hit all seven of her free throws and finished with 13 points in a win over Lakewood in the Class 4A region semifinals. 

Arianna Mosley, Sr., Tampa Prep: Scored a team-high 22 points in a win over Brooks DeBartolo in the Class 3A region semifinals. 

Morgan Sieper, Sr., Plant: Led the Panthers with a team-high 18 points in a win over Venice in the Class 7A region semifinals. 

Allevia Williams, Fr., Clearwater: Led the Tornadoes by scoring a team-high 24 points, including six 3-pointers, to beat Port Charlotte in the Class 5A region finals.
