Girls lacrosse: Tampa Bay player of the week — Feb. 20-25

Here are the nominees for the Tampa Bay area girls lacrosse player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a,m, Thursday. 

Carina Annunziata, Jr., Alonso: Recorded six goals, six ground balls and three assists to help the Ravens beat Durant for their first win of the season. 

Lauren Brown, Sr., Academy of the Holy Names: Finished with a combined 13 goals, eight assists and three ground balls in wins over St. Petersburg Catholic, Sarasota Out-of-Door and Wharton. 

Lauren Holthaus, Sr., Calvary Christian: Ended up with a combined nine goals, eight ground balls and three assists in wins over Freedom and Robinson. 

Kyra Knapp, Sr., Bloomingdale: Had five ground balls, along with two goals and an assist, to lead the Bulls past Robinson for their first win of the season. 

Taylor Lapointe, Sr., Steinbrenner: Recorded a combined five goals and five assists in wins over Plant and Wharton. 

Eva Risinger, Sr., Mitchell: Finished with a combined eight goals and two assists in wins over Cypress Creek and Wiregrass Ranch. 

Jiavana Schweigert, Jr., Wiregrass Ranch: Recorded 11 ground balls, seven goals and three assists to lead the Bulls to their first win of the season against Sarasota Out-of-Door Academy. 

Jasmine Walters, Jr., Newsome: Finished with a combined 10 goals, three assists and three goals in wins over Freedom, Orlando Bishop Moore and Robinson.
