Here are the nominees for the Hernando County player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

KD Carter, Fr., Hernando Christian: Ended up going a combined 8-for-11 with a homer, a double, seven RBIs and seven runs scored at the plate and recorded a combined 16 strikeouts on the mound in wins over Lakeside Christian, Bishop McLaughlin and Foundation Christian. 

Savannah Ellis, Sr., Hernando: Went a combined 6-for-8 with two doubles, an RBI and three runs scored in wins over Crystal River and Nature Coast. 

Leeanna Freeman, Sr., Springstead: Ended up going 3-for-4 with a triple, a double, five RBIs and two runs scored in a win over Weeki Wachee. 

Damaylis Rosario, Sr., Weeki Wachee: Powered the Hornets by hitting two homers and finishing with six RBIs and three runs scored in a win over Central. 

Ashlynn Sentner, Jr., Nature Coast: Finished a combined 2-for-3 with a run scored in two games last week.
