Here are the nominees for the Hernando County baseball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Sunday. 

Brendan Anderson, Jr., Springstead: The Eagles’ leadoff hitter ended up going a combined 5-for-12 with two RBIs and five runs scored in three games at the Farm Bureau Classic. 

Jaxen Gates, Sr., Nature Coast: Recorded three hits, including a double, and had four RBIs in a win over Bishop McLaughlin at the Farm Bureau Classic. 

Ethan Karnow, Jr., Weeki Wachee: Ended up going 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in a win over South Sumter at the Farm Bureau Classic. 

Justin Tranum, Jr., Central: Had three hits, including two doubles, in three games at the Farm Bureau Classic. 

Andrew Vanalstine, Sr., Hernando: Went 4-for-4 with three doubles in a win over Cypress Creek at the Farm Bureau Classic.
