Here are the nominees for the Pasco County softball pitcher of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Jordan Ankers, So., Wesley Chapel: Threw a seven-hit shutout with five strikeouts in a win over Riverview at the Lady Canes Spring Invitational. 

Jayda Smith, Sr., River Ridge: Led the Royal Knights by throwing a two-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts in a win over Wiregrass Ranch. 

Kyrstin Wallen, Sr., Fivay: Tossed a four-hit shutout with three strikeouts in a win over Bishop McLaughlin that lasted four innings because of the mercy rule. 

Lynneisa Whittington, So., Land O’ Lakes: Threw a three-hitter, allowing two earned runs while striking out two in a win over Dunedin at the Lady Canes Spring Invitational.
