What to watch

Seminole (10-4) at Hollins (8-4), 7

This is the first time the teams have met since last year’s Class 5A, District 8 title game that the Royals won 5-4 in 10 innings. Both are in the same district again (now 5A-10). The Warhawks have won their last two games. Hollins enters on a three-game win streak.  

Mitchell (12-4) at Land O’ Lakes (12-3), 7

This is the third meeting of the season between the rivals. The Mustangs won the first two, the last coming three days ago when Mitchell scored in the bottom of the ninth for an 8-7 victory. 

Plant (10-3) at Jesuit (14-1), 7

After losing to Dunedin to snap their perfect start to the season, the Tigers return home to face Plant in a south Tampa rivalry. The Panthers, winners of six of six straight games, have allowed just five runs during that span. The Tigers have given up six runs in their last four games against some of the best teams in the state – and nation.
