Here are the nominees for the Hernando County baseball player of the week. Voting last until 9 a.m. Monday. 

Brendan Anderson, Jr., Springstead: Went a combined 7-for-10 with a homer, a double, seven RBIs and seven runs scored in three games. 

Joseph Halter, Sr., Weeki Wachee: Provided some power by going 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs in a win over Springstead. 

Ethan Higgins, Sr., Hernando Christian: Had a combined three hits, including a homer, and finished with six RBIs in wins over Seven Rivers Christian and Real Life Christian.  

Austin Knierim, Fr., Hernando: Finished with two triples and four RBIs in a win over Crystal River. 

Gavin McMurdo, Sr., Nature Coast: Ended up throwing six scoreless innings, allowing two hits while striking out nine on the mound and had two hits and two RBIs in a win over Central.
