Softball: Pinellas County pitcher of the week — May 1-5

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County pitcher of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

Sienna Bailey, Fr., Admiral Farragut: Threw a five-hit shutout with 10 strikeouts in a win over Shorecrest in the Class 2A-11 district semifinals. 

Samantha Beltran, So., Canterbury: Threw a combined eight scoreless innings, allowing four hits and striking out 11 in wins over Indian Rocks Christian and Lakeside Christian for the Class 2A-10 district title. 

Sarah Blackett, Jr., St. Petersburg: Gave up a combined three runs (two earned) on three hits while striking out 16 in wins over Leto and Northeast for the 5A-9 district title. 

Megan Kimmett, Fr., Clearwater: Went four innings, allowing one unearned run on two hits while striking out five in a win over Tarpon Springs in the Class 4A-10 district semifinals en route to the title. 

Aliyah Lai, So., Osceola: Allowed a combined two runs (one earned) while striking out 15 in wins over Pinellas Park and Countryside for the Class 5A-8 district title. 

Lucy Mondok, Fr., East Lake: Led the Eagles to the Class 6A-5 district title by allowing a combined one earned run on five hits while striking out 13 in wins over Mitchell and Sickles. 

Morgen Talley, So., Calvary Christian: Threw a no-hit shutout with 12 strikeouts in a win over Clearwater Central Catholic in the Class 3A-11 district title.
