Baseball: Pinellas County pitcher of the week — May 1-4

Here are the nominees for the Pinellas County baseball pitcher of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Monday. 

Ronald Causby, So., Northside Christian: Threw 5 ⅓ scoreless innings, giving up one hit while striking out eight in a win over Keswick Christian for the Class 2A-9 district title. 

Cooper Consiglio, Sr., East Lake: Threw a three-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts in a win over Countryside in the Class 6A-10 district semifinals. 

Tim Freundel, Sr., Tarpon Springs: Threw 6 ⅔ innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on three hits while striking out 10 in a win over Tarpon Springs.

Jack Johnson, Jr., Dunedin: Hurled four scoreless innings, allowing five hits while recording five strikeouts in a win over Anclote in the Class 4A-11 district semifinals. 

Landen Maroudis, Sr., Calvary Christian: Went five scoreless innings, giving up two hits and finishing with 13 strikeouts in a win over Sarasota Cardinal Mooney for the Class 3A-6 district title.  

Tyler Saunders, Sr., Seminole: Went 4 ⅓ scoreless innings, giving up three hits while striking out seven in a win over Northeast in the Class 5A-10 district semifinals. 

Gavin Tuttle, Sr., Osceola: Recorded a three-hit shutout with six shutouts in a win over defending champion Hollins in the Class 5A-10 district semifinals.
