Outlook

The Royal Knights are in the state semifinals for the first time since 2004. They are trying to make their first championship game appearance since making consecutive trips to the final in 2002-03. Getting hot at the right time helped River Ridge end its lengthy final four drought. The Royal Knights enter on a nine-game win streak, the last one coming against Auburndale, the top seed in the region. Sophie Johnson has provided some pop at the plate with a team-leading 12 homers. The Bulls, ranked first in the class and third overall in the state by MaxPreps, have won eight straight games. They have recorded six shutouts and allowed just three runs during their current streak.
