Boys basketball: Hillsborough County player of the year (Classes 4A-2A) — June 20

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County boys basketball player of the year in Classes 4A-2A. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Thursday. 

Jordin Bell, Sr., Brooks DeBartolo: Averaged 17.6 points, 2.8 steals and 2.5 assists per game while leading the Phoenix to the Class 3A region final. 

Ishaan Bhadouria, Sr., Carrollwood Day: Ended up averaging 19.5 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Patriots this season. 

Eddrin Bronson, Sr., Tampa Catholic: Averaged 17 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists for the Class 3A state semifinalist Crusaders. 

Jermal Jones, Fr., Bell Creek Academy: Finished with an average of 17.8 points, 7.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists in helping the Phoenix reach the Class 3A region semifinals. 

George Kimble, Sr., Berkeley Prep: The Alston “Mac” McGahagin winner led the Buccaneers to a 22-4 record and a 3A region quarterfinal appearance. 

Karter Knox, Jr., Tampa Catholic: The five-star recruit averaged 19.8 points, 9.9 rebounds and 2.6 assists in leading the Crusaders to the Class 3A state semifinals. 

Ramone Seals, Jr., Tampa SLAM: Averaged 18.8 points, 5 rebounds and 4.5 assists in helping the Spartans reach the Class 2A state semifinals. 

Chandler White Brooks, Jr., Tampa Prep: Ended up averaging 20.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.2 steals for the Terrapins this season.
