Girls basketball: Hillsborough County player of the year (Classes 4A-2A) — June 22

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County girls basketball player of the year in Classes 4A-2A. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Gabrielle Bush, Jr., Tampa Prep: Finished with an average of 12.3 points per game for the Class 3A region finalist Terrapins. 

Nicole Carreno, Jr., Seffner Christian: Ended up with an average of 12.9 points and 8.4 assists per game to help the Crusaders reach the Class 3A region final. 

Nini Davenport, Sr., Seffner Christian: Recorded 15 points, 3.5 assists and 2.3 steals per game to lead the Crusaders to the Class 3A region final. 

Grace Gavin, Jr., Academy of the Holy Names: Averaged 12.7 points per game to help the Jaguars reach the Class 4A region semifinals. 

Jennie Gutman, So., Robinson: Recorded 18.5 points, 7.9 rebounds and 2 blocks per game for the Knights this season. 

LeighAnn Hanley, Jr., Carrollwood Day: Finished with an average of 20 points and 3.6 rebounds in leading the Patriots to the Class 3A region quarterfinals. 

Renita Harris, Sr., Tampa Catholic: Recorded 12.2 points per game to help the Crusaders reach the Class 3A region semifinals. 

Tyra Kennedy, Sr., Brooks DeBartolo: Ended up averaging 11.2 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.6 steals and 2.3 assists to help the Phoenix reach the Class 3A region semifinals. 

Ashley Knox, Fr., Tampa Catholic: Averaged 12.8 points and 5.4 rebounds per game for the Class 3A region semifinalist Crusaders. 

Nevaeh Lee, 8th, Seffner Christian: Finished with an average of 11.8 points, 3.7 assists and 2.4 steals per game for the Class 3A region finalist Crusaders. 

Lucy Morey, Jr., Academy of the Holy Names: Recorded 11.3 points, 3.6 assists and 3.4 steals for the Class 4A region finalist Jaguars. 

Arianna Mosley, Sr., Tampa Prep: Ended up averaging 22.4 points per game to lead the Terrapins to the Class 3A region final. 

Jayda Pinder, Sr., Academy of the Holy Names: Averaged 14.1 points and 4.9 steals per game in helping the Jaguars reach the Class 4A region final. 

Alaina Williams, Sr., Brooks DeBartolo: Recorded 13.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2.2 steals per game to help the Phoenix reach the Class 3A region semifinals.
