Football: Top Pinellas County Running Back (Classes 2-1M) — Aug. 9

Here are the nominees for the top running back in Pinellas County in Classes 2-1M. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

Cam Clincy, Sr., Dunedin: The Lakeside Christian transfer was impressive in the spring game, rushing for 224 yards and three touchdowns.  

Sean Cuono, Jr., Calvary Christian: One of the area’s most productive backs rushed for 1,786 yards and 20 touchdowns last season.  

Anthony Harris, So., Indian Rocks Christian: Ran for 713 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. 

Nasir Hutchinson, So., Clearwater Central Catholic: Likely to put up big numbers after rushing for 38 yards as a freshman last season. 

JJ Mercer, Jr., Boca Ciega: Has the most experience in the backfield after rushing for 180 yards last season. 

Damarion Rowe, So., St. Petersburg Catholic: Rushed for 406 yards and five touchdowns last season. 

Toni Rrgalla, Jr., St. Petersburg Catholic: Finished with 298 yards and two touchdowns last season. 

Owen Smith, So., Northside Christian: Moves into a bigger role in the offense, especially the first month while Zuri Watson recovers from an injury. 

Justin Stephens, Sr., Clearwater Central Catholic: The Northside Christian transfer will get plenty of work in a revamped backfield.  

Dontrez Young, Jr., Gibbs: Takes on a featured role in the Gladiators’ reworked backfield. 

Zuri Watson, Sr., Northside Christian: The Mustangs’ leading rusher last season (832 yards, 6 touchdowns) will not return until mid-September from an injury.
