Here are the nominees for the Hernando County football player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Saturday. 

Jeremiah Brown, Fr., Hernando: Had five tackles and scored the Leopards’ only touchdown on an interception return in a loss to South Sumter. 

Donovan Mangozho, So., Nature Coast: Finished with 11 tackles, two sacks, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in a win over Anclote. 

Luke Redmile, So., Central: Recorded four tackles and returned two interceptions for touchdowns in a win over Tenoroc. 

Michael Rizzuto, Sr., Springstead: Ended up with five tackles and a sack in a win over Land O’ Lakes.
