Volleyball: Hillsborough County Player of the Week — Oct. 23-28

Here are the nominees for the Hillsborough County volleyball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Friday. 

Olivia Badyna, Fr., Carrollwood Day: Finished with six kills and four aces in a win over Sarasota Cardinal Mooney in the Class 3A region semifinals. 

Michaela Clayton, Sr., Academy of the Holy Names: Recorded 10 kills, 10 digs and three aces in a win over Robinson in the Class 4A region quarterfinals. 

Enya Cooke, Jr., Robinson: Ended up with seven kills and five blocks in a win over Naples Aubrey Rogers in the Class 4A region quarterfinals. 

Hannah Hankerson, Jr., Berkeley Prep: Recorded 17 kills, six digs and three blocks in a win over Fort Myers Canterbury in the Class 3A region quarterfinals. 

Lara Matta, Jr., Plant: Finished with 13 kills and nine digs in a win over Palm Harbor University in the Class 7A region quarterfinals. 

Andrea Ruiz, Jr., Steinbrenner: Ended up with 15 kills, six digs and five aces in a win over Riverview. 

Madison Sofarelli, Sr., Bloomingdale: Recorded nine kills and six blocks in a win over Mitchell in the Class 6A region quarterfinals.
