Here are the nominees for the Hernando County boys basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Ethan Bergantino, So., Central: Finished with 22 points, six steals, five assists and four rebounds in a win over Lecanto. 

Niko Cordello, Sr., Springstead: Had 13 points, six rebounds and five assists in a win over Weeki Wachee. 

Sheldon Cotton, Sr., Nature Coast: Averaged 17 points and six assists per game in wins over Crystal River and Weeki Wachee to start the season. 

Jesse Stewart, Sr., Hernando: Ended up with 15 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Citrus.
