Boys basketball: Pasco County player of the week — Jan. 15-20, 2024

Here are the nominees for the Pasco County boys basketball player of the week. Voting lasts until 9 a.m. Wednesday. 

Ethan Hicks, Jr., Wesley Chapel: Averaged 18.3 points and 4.3 steals per game in helping the Wildcats go 2-1 for the week.

Rogers Jones, Jr., Zephyrhills Christian: Ended up with 17 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots in a win over Cambridge Christian.  

Dareal King, So., River Ridge: Finished with 15 points, six rebounds and four blocked shots in a win over Gulf.

Nelson Marshall, Jr., Sunlake: Ended up averaging 15.5 points and five rebounds in wins over Brooks DeBartolo and Steinbrenner.  

Jose Morales, Sr., Fivay: Averaged 18 points per game and hit a combined seven 3-pointers in wins over Anclote and Weeki Wachee.

Ben Unger, Sr., Mitchell: Eclipsed the 1,000-point career mark while helping the Mustangs go 2-1. 

Kyden Wiley, Jr., Wiregrass Ranch: Averaged 17 points and nine rebounds per game in wins over Lakewood Ranch and Land O’ Lakes.
