The Pasco County Volleyball Player of the Week

OH/MH Chloe Danielson, Jr., Wesley Chapel

Wesley Chapel entered the season needing to find a replacement for Jordan Danielson, the Sunshine Athletic Conference player of the year in the East Division.

Danielson helped the Wildcats to their first winning season in more than a decade. Her graduation left a void in the lineup.

So the Wildcats turned to Danielson’s younger sister, Chloe, a junior who was a first-team SAC selection a year ago.

Chloe responded to her more prominent role by leading the team in kills (301), blocks (62) and ranking second in digs (155). More importantly, she guided Wesley Chapel to a 17-6 record and the Class 5A, District 6 title, the Wildcats’ first district championship in volleyball in 17 years.

In the week leading up to the tournament, Chloe recorded 28 kills, five digs and two service aces to help Wesley Chapel beat rival Sunlake.

Fans were impressed. Chloe received 53 percent of the votes (1,523) in the Pasco County volleyball player of the week poll to beat out Sunlake’s Vanessa Sierra, who had 33 percent (952 votes).
